How can I get this working?
I want to get this screen up and working but have no idea where to start. Any suggestions?

Without a DMM it will be extremely difficult.
You would need to know if the power was getting to and through the circuit boards etc.
Can't see from the images whether or not there are any fuses on the power input so you may have to start tracing from where the power comes into the display.
As I said, you need a DMM etc otherwise there is no way of knowing as nothing looks obviously damaged.
Like most things electrical, it's power that makes it work. First step is to check the power supply circuits 'in" the display itself

Hi,
What is the make and model number of the display?
Do you have a DMM (digital multimeter) and know how to use it?
If so, have you checked that the correct (or any) voltage is being supplied by the adapter that powers the display? (You show what looks like a power plug in the 3rd image.)

@jayeff I don’t think it has a make or model number, it’s a custom built screen and isn’t sold in stores. I don’t have a DMM or know how to use one, I believe the screen is supposed to run on an 18V power tool battery and I do have the battery and adapter battery is charged but screen is unresponsive.
