Help needed with cable:iMac Intel 27" EMC 2546 & 2639 Display Data Cab

My issue with my iMac display is a thicker black vertical bar and a thin red one. I am wondering if this cable will fix that: iMac Intel 27" EMC 2546 & 2639 Display Data Cable.

The original problem was flickering and sent in for repair for that. Came back with the two vertical bars. Tech in Nepal says it needs a new logic board. I said bull, and hooked up two external monitors on a stand and have been using that for years. Now I am replacing the failing SSD with a new one from the kit, and I am wondering if this cable has a chance of fixing the vertical bars, or is that another cable?
