Backlight doesn't work, even after replacing screen twice

hey guys

I'm back again, so i bought a new screen assembly (including LVDS cable) for my macbook air, fitted it backlight didn't work, so sent it back to the company i bought it off, they sent a replacement out, just fitted it now, still no backlight, i've looked at other forums and i'm thinking it may be the fuse for the WLED driver on the logic board? only problem is i can't locate the fuse for the LVDS cable, so if any one has pictures or detailed word-pictures of this fuse or any other suggestions that would be great. it's a macbook air A1304 (the black logic board not the blue one)

i'll keep updating this if i find anything else.

cheers

david

I'm open to any other idea as to what it might be, i have checked over the area where the LVDS cable slots into the logic board with a magnifying glass, nothing seems out of place, but then I'm no expert and i don't know exactly what's it's meant to look like either!

ok i've been looking throuhg previous posts, which lead me to taking the logic board out and checking the back, well i think i've found the problem, but as i'm no expert on macs of logic boards, i'm not sure what the part is, so i've taken a couple pics ( http://s1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb45... ), sorry about the quality but its kind of hard to take a picture through a magnifying glass while directing a light on the area so you can actually see it! the first picture is just to give the general area (just on the underneath of where the LVDS cable fits on the logic board - top left of the picture) the second gives a detailed picture of the bit (fuse maybe?) in question, it is the bottom one (of three) that is the problem, you should be able to see that the soldering has blown off on the left side.

so the question is, what is the part, would this stop the backlight from working? and how do i fix it? or is it best to take it to an expert?

many thanks

david
