Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Battery Issues

My Mi A2 lite’s display cracked so I was replacing the display. However, when I tried to check if the display was working, the phone no longer powers on. I must admit that when I tried to pry the battery out that I might have damaged it. I felt like I bent some of the edges of the battery but visually it looks fine.

When I plug the phone onto my PC, I get a power surge on usb port warning.

I’ve also tried reconnecting everything with the original, damaged screen and the phone still doesn’t work, so I’m guessing that the display is not the issue.

I’m wondering if I damaged the battery which is causing this issue or if it might be a problem with the motherboard.

sdfjh32r  yes, this could easily be caused by a failed battery. Replace the battery first then re-evaluate. Let us know what you find.

I figured out the issue, it was because the connector strip was installed backwards lol. Now I have to figure out why my new touchscreen isn't working, even on the cracked screen...
