Battery won't charge - reports 0mA/h remaining, Fully Charged: Yes
I went on holidays, unplugged my Late 2011 13” Macbook pro from the wall, but forgot to shut it down. On return, plugging in the power adapter, green light comes on straight away. It will not charge the battery. Status of the charger is “Not charging”
Report from “System Information” is below.
Perhaps the most notable information is that it reports charge remaining as 0mAH, whilst simultaneously reporting Fully Charged: Yes.
Clearly that is not correct.
The battery is relatively new, replaced last year, with a battery purchased here on ifixit.
Obviously the system is able to communicate with the battery, but it will not charge.
Have tried SMC And PRAM reset.
I’m out of ideas.
Why would it be reporting “Fully Charged” when it is flat as a tack?
