My display is glitching, vertical bars with horizontal glitch lines.
Hi there iFixers,
I have this problem with my MacBook where my display is showing some weird stuf to the point where the actual content is almost invisible. Here is a video of what I mean.
I tried hooking it up to an external monitor and it works perfectly fine on the other screen. I already tried resetting te NVRAM and all that kind of stuff but with no success.
As for the background story; I bought this MacBook of a friend of mine who told me he plugged in the MacBook, and then heard a pop and saw a little bit of smoke. After this the MacBook didn’t turn on anymore. I looked into the MacBook and saw that C6481 was blown. I replaced it and after that when I turned on the MacBook saw this phenomena occurring.
Now I am wondering where did it go wrong, did I open the MacBook incorrectly and did I damage the screen? Did I damage the GPU by using to much heat? Where should I start to look? I don’t suspect it has something to do with the LCD screen because this looks like a different kind of glitch to me. Correct me if im wrong and try to nudge me into the right direction :)

C6481 is part of the audio circuit PPBUS_G3H_SPKRL very odd for it to go and kill the system to boot.
