WiFi drops after reboot and shuts off after few minutes being on

I got this MBP in second hand recently and everything was fine when the seller was demonstrating to me. I even surfed every website possible for an hour. But then after I got it from him, I had to do clean up of the system to install latest macOS from recovery, here I already got glimpses of wifi problems. I got some error in between. I thought it was the Apple servers. Then finally after I got Catalina installed, when I go to the desktop the Wifi signal drops right after I login. When I got it stable by removing and adding from network, it appeared to have worked for a minute or so, then again it dropped and connected back. Since then, it’s toggling.

I am having hard time understanding the issue. I hope I don’t have to go back to the seller or the Apple service. Help!

UPDATE:

Added screenshot of error while using recovery. I didn’t get any errors using Hardware Test (Diagnostics)

Update (12/28/2020)

As @danj suggested I went ahead and changed the router password from where I was getting the WiFi signal from. Since then there has been no problem, and I could see the Mac get’s WiFi anywhere I go too. So, it was some strange error or misconfiguration within the OS or something with particularly my home router.

Did you try running the onboard diagnostics to see if an error popped up? Restart your system and press the D key. Let us know if you got any errors. I wish you had made note on the errors you had gotten before. Do make an effort to document what you got.

Reference: Mac startup key combinations

If you didn’t get any errors, you’ll need to see what the WiFi menu offers for information. Click on the WiFi menu icon while pressing the Option key to gain access to the advanced diagnostics. Take a snapshot of the light grey area so we can see what your radio is doing. You might want to get from the Apps store a better graphical view using this app WiFi Explorer. It will also allow you to see all of the AP’s near you which might be conflicting with yours.

I updated with screenshot of recovery boot. It wasn't connecting at all I guess.

@Vijay Kanta - Am I seeing things clearly here?? Your text appears to be doubled up! This is a sign of a display issue! I would return the system if that's correct. If its due to how you took the picture then you'll need to get closer to the WiFi Access Point (AP) you are trying to connect to. Make sure you have the correct name and password for it.

@danj yep sorry it's due to the way I took the picture. Anyways I fixed it by changing the WiFi router password. Strangely it has not given any trouble at all and I could update the latest macOS too. Thanks a ton!

@Vijay Kanta - Happy to hear the image was not a defective display just a picture error.

I figured your AP login was the issue. If you're set don't forget to accept the answer - Thanks!
