Why is my curser bouncing up and down going all over won’t stop

My curser is out of control when I power my computer on after like a half hour or more then it starts bouncing and going all over and opening apps and just crazy out of control I have to force push the power button to shut off my computer my battery is good reads full and don’t have any warnings or anything about the battery can it be the track pad or the track pad ribbon and also if it’s the track pad do I have to change the ribbon or just the track pad and the ribbon that goes on the bottom of the track pad and where does the other end of the ribbon go to and do I have to unplug a lot of things to connect the other end of the track pad if it’s the track pad any advice anybody please let me know thank you
