Phone shuts off as soon as it boots despite a battery replacement

Think it’s a run of the mill question?

Maybe so, but I’m in a tight spot. Amateur here, folks. I’ve recently replaced my secondhand Iphone SE with a real battery from another one. (This one was water damaged, but I definitely cleaned the connectors before putting them together) Problem is, as soon as I connect a charger to it, it boots and goes black (lower half first then upper half) and keeps repeating it.

I’ve tried to put it in recovery, but it shuts off then too. I’ve put the old battery back to see if it’s a battery problem just in case–and well, it does the same thing with the old one.

I’m not sure what to do now. Should I get a new battery and try again? Is this a software problem? Is my board completely cooked and fried to well-done?

Really appreciate all the help I’d get. Thanks.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I'm a little confused here. Did you pull the donor battery from a water damaged iPhone SE to put into yours? Or did yours get wet so you swapped the battery from a donor?

@hootonberg Sorry for the late reply. I put the water damaged battery into the SE.

battery or battery and screen

occasionally once you connect the screen it doesn't make a good contact for various reasons

un plug battery first

thenunplug the screen cleaning the connectors and plug it back in

@golde I only did the battery ones, but I'll be sure to do the screen connectors as well. I'll let you know how it goes.
