My iPhone 8 plus died one day and i put it on the charger and it stayed on the charger all night and it never turned back on. It wont even tell me if its charging or not, its just a black screen.

Likely a bad battery/bad charging port. Did it feel like it died rather fast last time you used it? if so mostly likely both, however if your phone is not charging at all; try different wires and wall plugs otherwise will probably need to replace the charging port.
