Why did my phone completely die overnight?
My phone was at 100 percent at 10 p.m. At 8:15 a.m., it was at 0 percent. No activity during the night.

Was the phone left on or was it switched off, overnight?
Recharge the battery to 100% and check how long the phone stays on for when operating on the battery only.
If it doesn't stay on for that long then it may simply be that the battery is failing and needs to be replaced. Even rechargeable batteries have a lifespan.
