Left side doesn't work when using the wire, how do I fix it?

@ronnchao sounds like either a loose solder connection or partially broken wire. To inspect and repair that you will have to open up the left side. Remove the outer ring (it is glued on, so some heat from a hair dryer etc. and a plastic prying tool will help with that). Once the outer ring is removed you should see four small phillips head screws.
