My 3ds is not working after being plugged into a dvd player

Hello, I had a 3ds xl for years, a sibling connected the headphone jack of the 3ds to a blueray dvd player and it stopped working. I'm wondering is this just a fuse problem or a motherboard problem. The 3ds still charges no problem.
