No OS will install, not even linux. Possible fix?
So I bought this board a PC Chips A13G+ V3.0 off of a computer shop. He said it is slightly unstalbe in the setup he had it in, but I took it home, and it was working on Windows XP. Now, whenever I try to install Windows 7 on it, it fails at the installer. It says it lost connection to the boot media, and stops there. I even tried linux, but it wont even boot. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I can not see that your motherboard is compatible with windows7. What about all your other peripherals? Does your computer still start up at all? Tried resetting the CMOS Jumper 11 yet? The manual for the moterhboard is available at http://download.ecsusa.com/dlfilepcc/man... and may help you out how to get back on track. good Luck.

Yes, i have reset multiple times, and even reflashed the BIOS (the correct one, latest) to see if the BIOS was corrupt. It posts just fine, but in the installer for windows 7 it gets that error. Linux just goes to a black screen.

Luke, I would not even try Win7 at this time. Wipe your hard drive and reformat it. After that try Linux. You got a Live CD and can you boot from your optical drive?

Luke, give it a try and see if you can boot your computer, reformat your hard drive and see if you can install any other OS but Win7
