Unusual Inquiry - replacement speaker to 3.5 mm connector

Thanks for your time. I mix and master music for a living and I would love to be able to monitor my mixes from my audio workstation (Pro Tools) through iPhone speakers so that I can make sure the music sounds good on the iphone.

I don't want to "stream" audio to my phone.

Is there a way to modify iPhone replacement speakers so that the other end of the speakers would have a 3.5mm connector?

This would allow me to plug the iphone replacement speaker into my interface like a pair of headphones and monitor audio through them.

You just need to solder the wires onto the speaker pins. It will probably sound like crap as it will not be running through the audio IC and amp on the iPhone. There are two speakers on the iPhone one at the top and the other at the bottom so you will you will have to work out how to wire them to obtain stereo.

You will need to cover the pads on the flex cables with tape so when you put the speakers back in it will only be connected to the audio plug. You will need to run the wires out the bottom of the phone so as the screen can be inserted properly. If the phone is not put back together you will not obtain the true sound you are looking for.
