Failure to boot, nothing seems to work

After a crash last night while playing Ridge Racer my 3ds has completely stopped booting. It is homebrewed, yes, and I have already tried replacing the boot.firm stuff and the arm9 and arm11 stuff, none of it seems to be working. I checked the internals, no sign of damage. When I power on the system, the blue light appears for about half a second and then fades off, with SD card in AND out. When booting it’s turning off so quick that Luma can’t even deliver payloads to get to GM9, and I’ve spent a lot of money on games I’d rather not lose for this thing before I replace it. There’s no sound being made, no popping either. What in the world has caused this, and is there a solution?

I don't know too much about homebrewing on the 3DS, but for other software I'd say "what's changed recently?". Can you undo anything?

Failing that, can you reinstall the original 3DS firmware to check it's not a HW issue?
