Is there a way to repair rubber edges after backglass replacement?

Hello
I have replaced the backglass of an iPhone 8 plus. While removing the cracked glass I have accidently cut the outer rim of plastic/rubber with the razor. I was wondering if there is anyway to repair this or in someway hide the damage as well as possible.

It's a type of glue that also black. Most screens use it for waterproofing

It's molded plastic, mold something else onto it, or replace the whole back case.
