iBook bottom has always been extra hot. Recently replaced battery and DC in board. Runs great, but needs a thermal blanket. Should I replace the fan, or is more troubleshooting needed first.

Found an excellent app - G4FanControl 0.6.1. Resets threshold settings. iStat now shows 8200rpm. Much cooler too. carlstaff, Feb 1 @ 10:42 PM

Do you hear the fan when you watch videos on youtube or when you do intensives jobs ? If no then replace the fan. Cheap repair.
