How long does a reflow last?

I have read that reflowing the PS3 is only a temporary fix at best and that it absolutely will get another YLOD again after some time. Has anyone experienced any long term success after a reflow under normal to heavy usage? (And I'm not talking about light usage like 30 minutes of gameplay twice a week, more like a few hours a day)

One that i reflowed for my friend has been up for about a year now....that being said i have had other reflows that have only lasted 3 or 4 months.....from what i hear it is best to have a reball done where all the solder under the bga is replaced.
