Iris covering lens doesn't open all the way, must be pushed
Title says it all. The iris opens almost all the way, but still masks edges of the picture, as shown in the photo. I can flick it with a fingernail to open it all the way. Can this be fixed?

The automatic lens cover may by sticking from debris collecting over the years. Unless you're able to disassemble and have access to the mechanism to examine it for wear or debris preventing full opening, Try Canon tech support for advice.
