What causes a DS Lite not to charge?

After doing a complete shell housing replacement on an old DS Lite, everything works but have only now noticed it doesn't charge.

It's not the cable, as it charges another non-modded DS Lite fine.

What can I do to fix this? Hopefully it's not a Logic board problem.

Replace the F1 fuse that sits right in front of the charger port on the motherboard. Since all but charging functions F2 is good.

I used a multimeter (continuity mode) to test both fuses and they seem to be working. Could it be something else? Perhaps a ribbon cable?

Is this for sure powering on on with a charged battery? Where did you run your continuity test from? On F1 you need to run it from the leg on charger port to the leg on EM10 - look at where the traces end off of F1. If you only test the ends of the fuse, you will miss a compromised solder joint. On F2 you run the continuity test from the hole in the trace right behind the fuse to the furthest contact on the battery connector. If that test bad then you go in and test the ends of the fuse. If it isn't powering on with a known good battery, I would double check that the contacts for the battery connector are sitting in their housing properly.

Thank you for your help.

I have solved the problem now. It was the component to the left of the F1 fuse (the little black box with 4 contacts points in its corners). It had accidentally tilted upwards leaving the bottom two contacts broken. I probably damaged this when I struggled to push the black wifi wire under the gameslot on reassembly. I pushed the component back down and used some silver contact paint to reconnect the joint (I don't have a small soldering iron) which works, for now at least.

For clarity, my symptoms were the DS Lite wasn't charging but powered on and worked as normal. When the charger was plugged in the charging LED didn't blink or flicker at all, it was always off.

I believe the component I was referring to is the EM10 Filter.

I’m having the same symptoms after replacing the case, it still powers on but won’t charge, and I’m getting 5v readings on both ends of F1 as well as 2 contacts on EM10. What’s the next place to check for charging voltage (besides the battery contacts)?

Alright, turns out EM10 was cracked on the 5V side and not passing voltages back to the board. I've temporarily solder-bridged the cracked contacts and it is now charging. Now I need to find a replacement EM10.
