Samsung Plasma Smart Tv PN51E550D1F Top Half of Screen Black

The top half of my screen started to flicker, then staying black.

Started with reseating and cleaning all the ribbon cables with Ipa. Still wont display top half of screen. Sound works and there is nothing plugged into any of the HDMI ports to cause a faulty connection. Not too sure what to check next.

The ribbon cable at the looks ripped, but when I unplugged this cable, the bottom half of the screen went black too for a full black screen. Plugged it back in, for the half screen

Any help would be appreciated.

Still an issue, took apart a few times and cleaned with iso. no luck

@mitchmg that error is usually caused by a failed Y scan drive, the Y-buffer board, upper SDR or Y Driver Board (those are all the names for this board) which drives the upper half of your display. For your Plasma TV is should be the Y Scan Drive Buffer Board BN96-22110A

On you 2nd picture top horizontal board.

Update (03/21/23)

@mitchmg most likely a blown Scan IC which is on that same buffer board. You can post some good pictures of that board so we can try and figure out if it is repairable (depends on your skills with LGA IC resoldering) or you can just change the boards. 기존 질문에 이미지 추가하기
