Would a 1.33GHZ or 1.5GHZ Logic Board Work?
I'm curious to know if either or possibly both a 1.33GHZ 2nd gen 2004 or a 1.5GHZ 3rd gen 2005 logic board would work in a 1.25GZH 1st gen 2003 aluminum G4 Powerbook??

yes it will. Same for the 12" aluminum 1.33ghz and 1.5ghz.

Okeydok....Thanks lemerise....I'm now considering swapping the 1.25GHZ LB in my 15.2" screen G4 Powerbook with the faster processor of a 1.33 or 1.5GHZ board. I just wanted to make sure of the compatability....Cheers
You're not going to get a significant performance increase though. Unless for some reason you're in love with your 6-year-old computer, you might want to consider investing the money in a MacBook.
This is more of a hobby project for me really which is also designed to further develop my somewhat limited computer repair skills. The powerbook was originally given to me with a damaged lcd screen which I successfully replaced but I've since discovered that the logic board was also damaged, so I purchased another board off Ebay only to find it suffered from lower ram slot failure, which I've in fact received a partial refund for. Therefore I'm going to purchase another LB from another Ebay source (unfortunately they didn't have anymore 1.25GHZ boards in stock) so I thought I might just as well see if I could indeed put one of the above mentioned LB's in it, which I can get from this seller for a reasonable price. Altogether the cost of this entire project is going to amount to somewhere between $200-$250. In the end my main goal is to try and make this Powerbook work as well as it did when it was brand spankin' new....Or maybe even a "little" better....;-)....Just for the fun and knowledge of it....:-)
Sounds good, and have fun! I only mentioned the above because a lot of people think they are going to get a 50% performance increase from this kind of upgrade, in which case I try to let them know that it's probably not going to be the case. :-)
Thanks rdklinc....I appreciate your input.
