Why can't I turn on the headphones after they are fully charged?

I have been charging my headphones for awhile with no problem until recently they have, after the light turns blue from being fully charged, turn back to red, flash red again and then turn off seconds after unplugging it. What's the problem here? And yes I did do this multiple times with the same result
