USB port low voltage (2V)
I was connecting arduino uno and esp32 via usb port , accidently usb port stop working , i tested the voltage output from usb port and it was 2v , is there a solution ?, can i replace usb port ?
With regards to the 2V, did you measure this on the input of the Arduino board when it was plugged in or on the USB port with nothing plugged into it?
If on the Arduino, measure what the voltage is on the USB port itself, without anything plugged into it. Alternatively plug in a USB mouse or keyboard and check if they work OK in the USB port or not
If there is only 2V on the USB port with nothing plugged into it, replacing the USB port won't solve the problem unless there's a high resistance connection in the port itself or from the port to the motherboard e.g. dry joint solder connection, causing the voltage drop.
The best option is to use the schematic and track the USB voltage supply from the USB port connector back to where it comes from on the motherboard to find out why it is only 2V and not 5V.
Unfortunately you have to buy the schematic but it is not that expensive.
