I have a 2007 Macbook that was not booting at all so I put a new topcase on it. Now it boots up to just a solid white light on the front and nothing else. What can i do to get it up and running?

Try all of these until sucess!! Do SMC reset and PRAM reset, remove RAM chips and re-insert firmly, get new RAM chips and replace old RAM chips, insert your gray install disc 1 and press C to boot from it. Then go into disk utility and repair disk and repair disk permissions. Lastly double check all connections are secure and double check you got the right top case as it won't work on certain Macbooks.

It's hard to do a PRAM Reset when i don't have any sound. Sorry i forgot to mention that. Also i get no light from the caps lock key but i do have power on the USB and firewire ports.
