LCD on Go looks faulty but I'm dubious

I have a Go here that had a backlight fuse go on it. Now the LCD comes on but has a lot of vertical and horizontal lines in it, though it doesn't appear smashed. You can just about make out parts of the XMB on the left side briefly but that fades out leaving the lines. You can hear it all functioning ok.

I'd take a picture but the battery is now dead and I don't have a charger.

Is there anything else on the board that can go which might cause this or should I try a new LCD?

It does look as though it's suffered some liquid damage at some point.
