MacBook Air 11" Mid 2011 Won't Boot After Carefully Stored
Hi everyone :)
I recently pulled my old MacBook Air from storage to try and use it to create a bootable installer for my iMac that has a failed hard drive. The first 45 watt MagSafe power adaptor I used did absolutely nothing - the light on the end of the plug did not light up, and the computer had no response. Then, I tried another MagSafe I had lying around, this time an 85 watt, and the light on the end of the connecter did light up, but there was still no response from the computer, not even a startup sound. I let the computer charge, and the light went from yellow to green after a while, but there was still no response from the little MacBook. I plugged in a USB thumb drive with a light inside it, kind of like a power indicator. When I pressed the power button, the light briefly flashed on, then instantly off. I have stored this computer in tissue paper inside a shoebox for a few years in a storage facility that is relatively dry. The last time I used the computer before it was put in storage, it was fine, except for some small damage I had done to the screen. Could I please get some info on what the issue might be, and how to fix it? Thank you.
