iPad won't turn on - battery may be broken

When I press the power button on the iPad nothing happens.

I followed the documentation from Apple[1] but that did not help.

My guess that the battery is broken and there is still warrenty on the device until 21-02-2025. There is no visible damage and we did not drop the iPad.

No power issues could be caused by any number of things. They can actually be one of the more complex issues to troubleshoot due to the number of failures that could result in this issue. But my best advice is to take it to Apple if it's still under warranty.

This could be the battery, but based on the fact that the device is so new, I am not likely to think that's the issue. If you actually wanted more diagnostic information you would need a USB C ammeter/multimeter which could tell you how much energy the iPad is pulling from the charger.

Just out of curiosity, when you followed the page from Apple, did the PC detect the iPad was connected at all?

Try doing a hard reset with the charger plugged into the device.you can do this by holding the power button down and volume down button hold it for about 15 seconds after 15 seconds press power button
