Why will my fridge not turn off?
The freezer and refrigerator cools properly but the compressor does not shut off.

The compressor is controlled by the temperature cold control thermostat (part # 5303323457) and also the defrost timer (part # 5303321915). (supplier examples only to show parts)
The compressor should cycle on and off to maintain the temperature within the set upper and lower limits under the control of the cold control thermostat.
The defrost timer will turn off the compressor once every 10 hours for approximately 30 minutes to allow the auto defrost cycle to melt any ice on the evaporator unit.
