Why is my phone not touching

@bernardmills it sounds as if you are inquiring why your touch screen does not work. This is most commonly an issue with the (digitizer) display assembly. I would start by replacing that. After that, re-evaluate and see if it works with a new assembly. If not, we can try and dig deeper in the actual circuitry.

Since iFixit does not yet have any guides for this model, use something like this video to work on it. you can get the touch screen (digitizer) separately. I find it easier to replace the complete assembly since it is faster and more likely to succeed than a glass only repair. Here are some instructions if you wanted to try to just replace the digitizer. For step 5 you will need some hot air to unglue the digitizer from the LCD.

The display assembly as well as just the digitizer are still for sale at some online stores but it is getting harder to find those.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
