Top row of letters will not print, LCD appears to have a dead spot.

Has anyone ever had a problem like this, I just put a new blue mirror screen and back on a iphone 4s and now I'm have all types of problems, one of which is top row of letters will not display when I type them and another problem is that I can't select the sound function from settings unless I scroll up or down as if the LCD has a dead spot, all others can be selected. But when I'm able to select the sound function and try to select a sound I get nothing but a buzz sound from all the sound choices.
