My 3ds has had this issue for a while now, but i was able to easily fix it by hard resetting it. Now it won't turn on at all.
I've tried practically everything. I tried the angle to see if it would turn on, nothing. I opened it up and everything was connected and i looked at the ribbon cables for the screens, and none of them were torn.
I don't know at this point what it could be.

Hi!
Usually it's the speaker ribbon cable causing this.
Replacing this one first is recommended.
You can follow this to get there: Nintendo 3DS XL Upper LCD Display Replacement (Please skip step 29).
It won't be a easy job, so maybe you need to contact a local repair shop.
