General
Android Go was created for low-end devices. Google has accommodated Android Go to develop apps that run specifically for it. Some examples are Maps Go, Photos Go, and Google Go. Android Go is used on cheap devices or devices that don't need very much power, like business phones. It was made with the release of Andriod Oreo. It was intended for devices with 2 or less gigs of RAM. The first device to use Andriod Go as the primary operating system was the Alcatel 1x. The most recent edition of AGo was Andriod 14 Go. There are no known plans for a release of Andriod 15 Go. Android Go devices lack many features used on non-AGo devices, such as Split Screen, Picture-In-Picture, and more, to help with performance.
