Is your car having a hard time holding idle RPM? Is it stalling out? The problem could very well be your exhaust gas regulator (or EGR) valve. A common issue occurs when the valve becomes extremely dirty and it either sticks open or closed. This guide will help walk you through the steps to remove your old valve, and replace it with a new one.

Remove the intake line by loosening the screw in the clamp that holds the intake line near the air-box.

Remove the fuel solenoid from the bracket in the top of the intake line and set it aside. This is so that you can fully remove the intake line and have enough room to pull the old EGR valve out.

On the side of the intake line you will find another small hose. Gently remove it and set it aside.
