Before beginning to disassemble, Power off the device.
Excessive force can result in damaged or cracked screen. Be Gentle.
Gently wedge a Jimmy into the seam of the device.
Gently pry the Jimmy all around the seam until the back panel is detached.

Locate the black bundle cable connector attached to the battery of the phone.
Do not push down. Slide in a forward motion to avoid breaking any inner pieces.
Using a plastic opening tool, gently slide the black bundle cable connector towards the battery in a back and forth motion until loosened and it slides out of connection port.
