Use plastic opening tools to pry open the case starting on the long side. The cover has a total of 8 clips, 4 of which (located on the long sides) are designed so they will be damaged when the device is opened.

After prying open 3 sides of the cover, it is still attached to the aluminium cover by double-sided adhesive tape. Use a screwdriver to create a small gap and use the scalpel to cut the adhesive. Alternatively you can losen the adhesive with a heat gun.

Remove any adhesive residue from the battery cover and the housing cover with a scalpel / rubbing alcohol.

Then carefully disconnect the battery flex cable, ensuring that the contacts are not being short-circuited.

The battery is adhered to the housing, it takes some force to remove it. Avoid puncturing of the battery as it could catch fire and/or explode! Dispose of the old battery properly.

The new battery can be fastened through the remaining adhesive residue. Reconnect the flex cable of the new battery, making sure that the contacts are not short-circuited.

The display should indicate a empty battery.

Before further assembly, the battery should be fully charged and it should be checked whether the device terminates the charging process when the battery is fully charged. If this is not the case, the new battery could be destroyed by the device.

Monitor the initial charge and carry it out in a place where there are no flammable objects.

Secure the battery cover with the two TX 5 screws. Ensure a good fit of the back cover with a few strips of double-sided tape. Limit the amount of tape so as not to hinder future disassembly.

Es sollte m.E. noch ergänzt werden, dass der Deckel an den schmalen Seiten mit je zwei Laschen gesteckt ist. Um den Deckel zu lösen, muss man, nachdem die langen Seiten wie beschrieben geöffnet wurden, ihn etwas nach außen wölben: Man zieht dazu die schmalen Seiten in Richtung der Gehäusemitte, so dass man die Laschen herausziehen kann.
By far the worst part is the battery cover is welded to the back of the case with gluonium which cannot be removed with anythhng but gamma rays and kryptonite, so as the guide says,, long thin knife is what you need. The battery is glued in the same but you don’t care so much at this point :-) See step 3, the tabs top and bottom, you remove the cover by flexing it away from the frame at about the mid point.

Just an idea for removing the well-glued-in battery - I use slivers of bamboo from the side of a largish cane, sanded to a thinnish blade. Not as strong as metal blades but non-conductive!
easiest way is to drop a few squirts of alcohol next to the battery, wait for 30 seconds to let it get behind the cell and then use a bank card or so to prize it loose, ideally a non-conductive thing. its easy as pie, the double-sided tape loosens, and the unit can just be pushed out with the card.
