Grasp the plastic cover and carefully pull straight back so that the clock cover dislodges from its housing.
If any additional assistance is required for this step, it is recommended to use the plastic opening tool to help pry the edges of the cover simultaneously or a suction cup if you cannot grip the rim.

Using your fingers, grasp the point where the hands of the clock meet in the center and pull straight back until they dislodge from the motor.
Be sure that you remove all three hands as well as the pin that connects them in this one step. This component should come out as a single piece.
