Eco X Gear LED Display Replacement

You will need a phillips head screw driver, needle nose pliers, solder, and a soldering iron to complete this task. Before opening the device, ensure that there is no power to avoid damaging the electronics or harming yourself.

    • Remove the 15 rubber plugs from the cavities using needle nose pliers.

    • Use a phillips head screwdriver to remove the fifteen 6.4mm screws.

    • Carefully separate the two sections of the frame.

    • Wires still connect the two sections. Be cautious to avoid damaging the wires, terminals, and electronics.

    • Locate the terminals coming off of the backside of the LED lights. Cut the terminals to remove the light from the frame.

    • Insert the new LED light into the frame. Use the solder and soldering iron to reconnect the terminals to the new lights.
