필요한 것

    • Pull the dispenser drawer forward until it stops.

    • Press firmly on the tab at the rear of the drawer and slide the drawer completely out of the housing.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to extract the five screws now exposed in the dispenser opening.

    • Keep the coarse-thread middle screws separate from the fine-thread top and bottom screws.

    • Lift the left side of the interface about twenty degrees then pivot it to the right and pull it away from the washer.

    • Do not yank; the panel is still tethered by a short wire harness.

    • Press the three harness clips from the inside out if you need more room to maneuver the interface.

    • Unscrew the water valve assembly and pivot it upward to gain clear access to the dispenser body.

    • This procedure is easier on GFW-550 models than on GFW-650 and larger machines.

    • Unhook the wire harness from the dispenser body.

    • Release the top hoses that run between the water valves and the dispenser ports.

    • Slide the dispenser toward the rear to unlatch its right side from the chassis.

    • Loosen the clamps and pull off the four or five hoses attached to the back of the dispenser box.

    • If a hose is stuck, wedge a flat screwdriver between the rubber and the plastic barb to break it free.

    • Remove the three screws underneath the washer to release the lower edge of the front panel.

    • Extract the seven screws securing the panel to the bulkhead.

    • Unscrew the two screws holding the door-lock facade and the single screw securing the lock.

    • Lift the lock upward and push it rearward so it will not snag the panel.

    • Open the washer door, lift the panel upward, and pivot it away from the machine.

    • Disconnect the wire harness on the left side before fully removing the panel.

    • Remove the spring clamp and pull the primary tub hose off the dispenser spigot.

    • Disconnect the drain hose at the underside rear of the dispenser.

    • Release the small hose behind the metal plate next to the dispenser box.

    • With all eight hoses free, slide the dispenser box out of the cabinet.

    • Inspect or clean the box now, or set it aside if you are installing a new unit.

    • Unclip the reed switch from the underside of the old dispenser and install it in the same location on the replacement box.

    • Feed the rear drain hose onto the dispenser first before the box is fully seated.

    • Slide the dispenser into the front bulkhead opening and hold it in place.

    • Attach the remaining seven hoses one by one, securing each clamp firmly.

    • Work patiently; reinstalling the hoses usually goes faster than removal.

    • Route the harnesses into the molded channels on the dispenser body.

    • Slide the dispenser rearward until its rear hooks click into the washer chassis.

    • Reconnect the large front hose, aligning the molded notch with the dispenser groove.

    • Confirm the small alignment finger rests on the bulkhead to guide the dispenser box.

    • Lift the door panel onto its four locator pegs and push it flush with the cabinet.

    • Reconnect the left-side harness, then replace the upper and lower mounting screws.

    • Ensure the top damper is fully seated, then install its three mounting screws.

    • Roll the door gasket lip over the rim and wear gloves to avoid cuts.

    • Expand the spring with a door gasket spring tool and guide the wire around the gasket groove.

    • Use a small hook or screwdriver to press the wire fully home before releasing the tool.

    • Position the door lock on its bracket and secure it with its screw.

    • Reattach the plastic facade using its two screws.

    • Hook the interface onto the right-side post, pivot it down, and snap it into place.

    • Install the two coarse-thread center screws and the three fine-thread outer screws while holding the dispenser box flush.

    • Slide the dispenser drawer back onto its rails until it clicks fully home.

    • Lower the top panel onto the chassis and secure it with its rear screws.

결론

The new dispenser is now locked in place, every hose is clamped, and the front of the washer is reassembled. Reinstall the drawer, tighten the last screws, and your GE front-load washer should be leak-free once again.
