For many construction workers like myself, as time flies, nail magazines tend to mess up. That is why I decided to write a quick guide because buying a new Hitachi Nailer NR83A2 can cost anywhere from $300-$500, and most of the time, we can replace a simple part and save tons of money. Hitachi is known to have the best framing guns, so I decided to work on that specific brand of framing gun. This is a quick video of how to replace your nail carrier. The gun magazine has two different bolt sizes holding the magazine together, as you can see in the video and the two keys on the gun. Both sides are the same. Just unscrew them, and the magazine should be out like butter.

Place the nailer on a flat, sturdy surface.

Unscrew both sides of the nail by moving your hex socket tool left.
The right is always to tighten, and the left is to loosen up.

Remove the screws.
Remove the magazine.
It should easily slide out.

Place the new magazine and screw the bolts back into their place. There are no hidden tricks. It's just placing the magazine and tightening it up so it won't fall off.
