소개

With today's modern conveniences, it is easy to forget the simpler ways of doing things. Line drying your clothes is not only better for the environment, but it is better for your clothes.

You know that lint screen in your dryer? All of that lint is actually bits of the fibers of your garment that come off due to the heat and tumbling of your dryer. Over time, this can wear out your clothes.

If you live where the weather doesn't permit line drying outside, set up a line in your bathroom or garage.

    • Fold the bottom inch or so of the garment over the line.

  2. Grip the ends of a clothespin to hold it open. Position the clothespin over the folded fabric so that the gap in the clothespin sits on the clothesline and the open end pinches the two layers of the garment. Put one clothespin on each side of the garment.

    • Your clothes can become stiff or crunchy feeling if you leave them on the line too long. Instead of adding fabric softener, which is full of chemicals (not to mention bad for your garments), check the clothes regularly to prevent them from over-drying.
