I just remember my glasses was broken like this, I just return my glasses to finestglasses.com and they fix it up for me. Thanks them to make exception for not charge me any money.
I have older lens I had placed in new frames. The lens kept falling out even with the screws being tight. I brought in the glasses back to the Walmart Eye glasses shop, cleaned the lens edges and tightened them back in. This did not help. I remember as a kid that the optometrist had a not sticky tape that they placed around the lens which helped hold it in. I asked about this but the shop did not know what I was referring to. I had just been fixing a loose nut and bolt with some plummer’s tape on it to hold. So after my lens fell out of my frame again while clearing snow I tried using the tape. I wrapped the stretchy plastic tape around the lens and popped it in. Then with a new razor I cut the tape around the rim and it held- Yeah.
There is also a product called Sugru that is moldable glue that is great for this problem that Andrew Sparber had with this glasses. We use it to repair frame breaks in sunglasses for our customers, it’s super tough and really holds broken glasses frames together. You can buy it at www.sugru.com.
