Unplug the coffee maker.
Empty the coffee maker reservoir.

Remove the six 13.5 mm screws from the bottom of the coffee maker using a Phillips #3 screwdriver.

Remove the base using an opening tool.

Slide the metal tie off the metal tube base.

Use a spudger to push against the plastic tubing and slide it off the metal tube base.
