Remove the Protect from it’s backplate by twisting counterclockwise on the device until it releases.

Unscrew the backplate.

Battery operated: Fully remove the backplate screws.

Hardwired: Slightly remove the backplate screws and twist the backplate.

Place the backplate on the wall.

Battery Operated: Screw in the backplate.

Hardwired: Twist the backplate so it locks into place and snug the screws

1ST Generation: Twist clockwise until it clicks into place

2ND Generation: Twist clockwise until it grips and adjust to fit the wall or ceiling of wall mounted.
