An awesome sandal lost its sparkly ornament. Its mate still sparkles and looks super-cute—save the sandals! You can find a replacement ornament or brooch at a hobby or craft shop, and using basic sewing skills, you can attach a replacement. Be careful if you're a novice—needles are sharp!

Unwind about 10" of thread. Cut and thread through the needle. Tie a double knot at the end of the thread.

The threads and empty holes show exactly where to attach the shoe ornament.
Cut off the old threads.

Start the threaded needle on the upper side of the sandal.
The ornament will hide the knot.
If pushing the needle through the sandal strap is difficult, you might try turning the sandal at an angle and using your flat surface as a pressing point.

Pull the thread down and through the sandal straps.
Repeat the process, catching the ornament in a variety of places to anchor several sides.
