Turn the device over with its display down.

Remove the battery cover, pressing down on the tabs and sliding.

Unscrew the two (2) #00, 10 mm screws located below the mic on the back cover.

Carefully pry up the top end of the back cover using one finger.

Remove the back plate by using a plastic removal tool to pry the back cover up around the edges.

Unscrew the circuit board screw.
This screw is located down near the bottom of the device on the blue circuit board. It is just to the right of the USB port.

Use a plastic removal tool to disconnect the blue circuit board from the green circuit board underneath.

Turn the circuit board on its side to reveal the USB soldering points.

De-solder the USB port from its four soldering points.
Be careful not to damage the wire connected to the USB port during de-soldering.

Place the new USB port in the same spot on the board, and re-solder at each of the four points.
Ensure you re-solder the wire into the same connection you removed it from during desoldering
