-[* red] Using a phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the two screws holding the fan assembly onto the unit.
-[* black] Carefully unplug the fan connector from the socket, depicted in the second picture.
-[* icon_note] The controller connector panel can be pulled up (GENTLY) from the main unit and laid down, as depicted. This is not strictly required, but may provide more maneuverability inside the case.
-[* icon_caution] While removing the fan make sure to NOT pull out the wires. Doing so may damage the connector wire or the PCB.
