설명

Safely poke and pry just about anything.

A spudger is a tough antistatic tool that can be used for a variety of purposes when repairing electronic devices. The 5" tool is made of nylon and has one flat end and one pointed end. The pliable and antistatic properties make it ideal for working around sensitive electronic components without fear of shocking or scratching them.

The pointed flat side can be used to disconnect connectors, remove thermal paste from a heat sink, pry off components, aid in soldering, or just to unscrew a MacBook's battery. The pointed end of the spudger can be used to connect/disconnect components, hold objects for soldering, or poke something that requires poking. The tool also includes a notch for hooking wires.

We find this spudger to be the perfect size for most repairs. However, when you need a tougher prying/poking tool, we also carry our Heavy Duty Spudger, a more robust version of this tool. This product is included in a lot of our toolkits, but it's especially helpful in the Classic Pro Tech Toolkit and Soldering Workstation.

Compatible with Apple's "Black Stick", Apple part number 922-5065

How does one go about pronouncing 'Spudger' anyhow?

My MacBook Pro became really hard to charge. The MagSafe charger had to be put on just right, and it was getting harder and harder to charge. We have two chargers and both had the issue, so I felt sure the problem was on the computer side.

The connection to the power cord was faulty. The light on the power cord would often times go out unless I put it at exactly the right angle. It also alternated between amber and green when charging. Furthermore, one of the terminals on the laptop power connector showed burn marks.

Consider buying the P-5 Pentalobe and T-5 Torx screwdrivers and the spudger from IFIXIT. I couldn't find Pentalobe drivers at my local Ace hardware. . . .

Somehow my LCD screen had gotten broken. I wish I had some cool story, but I literally have no idea.

I’ve never done anything like this, but I figured it was worth a $23 investment for a new LCD screen and two tools as opposed to spending several hundred dollars on a new GoPro. Worst case, I’d be . . .

My 5S has been giving me battery problems for about 6-9 months and eventually I got tired of having to charge my phone almost every 2 hours. Sometimes my battery would drop suddenly (60 to 20% and other random disparities). My camera also stopped working around the same time due to "overheating" so . . .
