In June 2010, Apple released the 4th generation iPhone, which introduced a few major changes from the preceding 3GS. The new hardware change showed a shift from smooth round edges and a plastic backing to a thinner, more rectangular, all-around glass design. The iPhone 4 features a front and rear camera, Retina display and 512 MB RAM, receiving a generally positive reception. The iPhone 4 is the first iPhone capable of video conferencing, or ‘FaceTime’, over Wi-Fi. The primary camera takes 5MP photos with LED flash and shoots full 1:1 720p video at 30 FPS. The Apple iPhone 4 boasts an A4 processor along with iOS4 which notably introduced multitasking functionality.
